Your suggestion was to give headstarts, mine is run your current rules and see what happens! A 5.20 will qualify at plenty of TF shows this year I'm willing to bet...
At 5.20 at 1,000ft? I would imagine that an A-fuel car would go around 4.5 at 1,000ft.
And a A/Fuel car may qualify, but can it win on Sunday against a TF car? Only way for it to happen would be for a TF car to redlight, break or smoke the tires.
Your correct, a 5.20 is forgetting TF runs 1,000' Even so, you think Bill Reichert wouldn't mind going out Rd 1 for $9,000?????
Without the blower it just aint the same .
Why do people keep coming up with this idea , is it because of short fields or do people have some strange desire to see A/Fuelers in Top Fuel and if so then WHY! Without the blower it just aint the same .
I don't care what anybody says.... I still want to see a top fuel dragster handicapped against say, a 15 second factory car!
Wouldn't that be interesting - to see say, Larry Dixon in the Sheik's rail.... sitting there after the burnout, both pumps on, with both bulbs lit... while....like, Mike Smith is roaring down through there at half track in his 2006 Buick LaSabre at a whopping 78 mph. After about 11 seconds or so have passed, LD twitches his feet, shakes the ground, and whizzes by Mike's Buick right at the 1/4 mile mark to take the win?????
Didn't they do something like that a while back as an exhibition?
