my wife say's that if she would have met me in high school there is no-way she would have dated me. I told her about all the crazy stuff we did the night this picture was taken and she was totally freaked out (aaahhh the 70s) this was Senior Prom 1979 I was 17, I had a diploma from Cuyahoga Valley Tech in Diesel Mechanics, and Revere H/S, I was working at BFI (the garbage company) for $9.15 an hr. and living at Home. Life was good, still is 28 yrs later

I figured if i joined the football team i would become cool, unfortunately in an 8 game season we scored a grand total of 18 pts and were the laughing stock of the school, so that plan backfired. It wasn't until my mom started letting me drive her new volvo to school, that i became mister cool

I started high school in the fall of '67. Between jocks, hippies, bikers, politicos, surfer wannabes, and the like there were a lot of divisions. Cool depended entirely upon which group you were in because each group had different standards. This arrangement meant that if you were cool in one group then there was a very good chance that you were probably not-so-cool with the other groups. This state of affairs wasn't really all that bad - except, perhaps, for those who didn't fit with any group.

Tell ya Kelly, if I knew ya when you were a junior.... no wait, my youngest was born a year before that picture... and what were ya doing with a bottle of bubbly in a golf cart? Besides, the big four ohhhhh ain't bad, too bad I can't remember that far back...

Wasn't a jock, wasn't a brain, nor a surfer, spent most of HS workin' on cars... and pumpin' gas at .20 a gallon, or less if we were havin' a "Gas War"... that, dating and gettin'... opps, kids on site, let not go there....
