Maybe a compromise, Pro Mod when PSB isn't racing. Also would like to see ESPN give an extra hour on Lucas series for top sixteen in Comp eliminator.

I like both. PSB and PM, the thing with PM is that just about every time I watch it, there's a wreck. I get bored with the clean up and leave the stands. PM is exciting but PSB has a lot of good tight races and I enjoy that part.

Both classes have drivers that are approachable, friendly, and great spokespeople for their respective classes and sports.

Keep 'em both.
 
I know what the outcome here is going to be. Pro Mod 3 to 1 would be my bet. I dont dislike the bikes, but it wouldnt hurt my feelings if they left. I hate it when pro mod isint at a national event.
 
I'd like to see either the alcohol cars or Pro Mods in Denver for a change. They should rotate what cities PSB & Pro Mod run at each year; also to keep them on thier toes, and the fans get a variety
 
every time a poll is taken between these two, pro mod always win, but i think part of the issue as to why the NHRA wont replace the bikes with pro mod is the fact that Pro Mod is heads up doorslammer category, in which the NHRA basicaly already has, and to implement PM as replacement for the bikes could risk diluting any interest in both Prostock and pro mod. currently all 4 pro categories are dramatically different from one another and although TF and FC have similar power trains, beyond that they are very different vehicles
 
there is a market for both of these classes and i would like to see both of them at more races...

Get rid of the bikes, bring in Pro Mod.

or

Get rid of the bikes, reduce ticket costs.

I wouldn't notice if you did the latter. The bikes to me serve as the reminder to start heading out of the pits back to my seat. I would make my way back to the seats to watch pro-mod though.
 
I would love PM to become a pro category but it's not and the reasons are simply politics. If PM became a pro class then TAD and TAFC would pitch a fit about not being made "pro" and the pro stock (car) class would also pitch a fit because fans like seeing Pro Mods more than PS's.
 
Just saying oh lets swap this class for this class , is all well and good ....... on paper . But if you put that into reality can you imagine how many pissed off PSM teams and sponsers there would be . I am not really a fan of PSM I am a nitro fan myself , but still you are talking about 1/4 of the proffensional classes ,that 1/4 is filled up with proffesional riders who race for a job , what are you going to do just say "oh your class isn't populer so we are going to replace you" . The only way for anything like this to be a win win is to have both classes and make it 5 pro classes .
 
I don't see why Pro Mods should get Pro status while the Alky FC's and Dragsters don't! They were King of the Hill in IHRA, but not in NHRA.

if ya dont wanna see an older body style car with doors run in the fives and run 1,320 then your not a drag racing fan. pro mod rules!
 
Not that it was one of the options, but top fuel harley's in place of the PSB would be nice. Not that I have any vested interest or anything:rolleyes:

also Pro Mod Replaces Pro Stock... or wait, Pro Stock IS Pro Mod without the the neat toys... Nitrous, Blowers, Turbos, and wings :eek::rolleyes:
