Thanks for the heads up, Alan. #zeroproductivitythursdayLive all weekend for the D1 Double, here's today's link, feel free to share. Watching racing > than working.....
Yes - 2 Divisionals for the Lucas Oil Sportsman plus a Regional aclohol race - Friday Daily run schedule shows 4 TAFCs and 8 TADs. The Columbus event was low on Alky entries, plus there is a Division 5 Regional in Iowa.the second ihra race at nat. trail is going on right now too. saw a few names on the STK and SS Q sheets that typically race nhra.
i'm guessing there is still a good turnout at VMP too for this double? this race is a divisional and regional i think?
23 Comp, but still a nice field of cars to watch in eliminations yesterday. More entries than TS and TD!VMP has 60 SS, 69 STK, and 29 comp. nice fields. no live timing from earlville, but they do have a live utube feed as well
I saw Annie get out of her car and walking around on the feed, and I thought Alan did announce it. A very tough way to end the day. I can't speak to what spotters were where, but just look at that - was it Bristol, where it was only raining in the shutdown area and you saw the DHL car drive right into it. You just never know!Craziness in the TAFC finals between Wayne Morris and Annie Whiteley. Whiteley went red and as both were going down track, a rain shower hit causing both to lose control and hit the wall. Morris got out of the car but didn’t hear anything about Whiteley before the live stream ended. I very well could have missed it if Alan did mention it. Regardless, Hope and pray she’s ok.
**Edit to add that according to Ellen Eschenbacher’s Facebook post, Whiteley is ok**
In an even more odd moment if that’s possible, a four wheeler with turbine blowers in tow going to the scene, lost control, crossed both lanes and hit the wall.
Rest of the day is rained out and they’ll start at 10:30am tomorrow.
