Thanks Teri!!! That video was shot in the Phillipines during the Invitational that he placed 2nd! He is getting ready to go on a "cable tour" in Germany where the sport is REALLY BIG since there are no boats allowed on lakes in Germany.
He really breaks the wakeboard "streotype" that people have. (wild, careless, no respect for others on the water) He has taught wakeboarding at camps since HE was 14 and teaching a special class for kids who are deaf!!!

What I find amazing is that when he does all these tricks, is how many times he switches the rope from hand to hand and even landing tricks with his rope hand behind his back!!! I have a hard enough time landing a "wake to wake" jump with the rope in front of me!!! Watch the video and you will see what I'm talking about!

That is pretty awesome stuff (I think I'm dizzy now). So are they just pulled by cables? Does he do stuff with boats too?

He is being pulled on a cable operated lake, but he started out riding behind the boat and competes in both categories. There are only 4 cable lakes here in the U.S. ,but they are catching on quickly. Germany has over 100 cable lakes due to no boats being allowed on lakes there. The cable lake is VERY fun to ride and is far less intimidating to learn how to ski/wakeboard on vs. a boat. My son is 7 years old and he is learning on the cable!!! Instead of a boat which "pulls you thru the water" to get up the cable "pulls from above" to help with teaching, but everyone starts standing on the dock.

Check out Texas Ski Ranch to show you what a cable lake looks like. Tom is an instructor there!
