If driving in though, why go all the way to the middle? Why not take Boulder HWY to Nellis & then go north to Las Vegas Blvd? If you don't mind lights that is... Nellis has a few but it shouldn't take that long.

It's been 6 years since I lived in Vegas and I still shudder at the thought of getting on I-15. That stretch of interstate cause me more problems ... although I was rear-ended getting onto the 215 loop ... but whatever. Surface streets all the way. There are several major north-south arterials that work.

Jealous I can't go this year ... my husband is a UNLV grad and it's like pulling teeth to get him to go back with me for a race.
