I'm glad to hear that a blanket is in the works for this. This type of oil down doesn't happen often but when it does its bad for everyone involved. Was it Indy in 2023 a Pro Stocker did this and I think the cleanup took like an hour and a half on an exceptionally hot day with the sun beating down on the track.
 
Roughly 2 gallons or more depending on the team.
And it doesn't take as much as you think to leave a 600 foot mess. I once helped address a strip of synthetic transmission fluid that escaped from a blown line at the hit all the way into the shutoff area (660' track) that took a team of 2 dozen people and good equipment more than two hours to clean up. As I'm sure you know, picking up after a synthetic oil dump is one hell of a job.
