luigi and will smith sharing same sponsor, national machine repair.
looks like spencer massey might be driving krista baldwin's car?
love all the independents, but you gotta' give it up for terry manzer, roger primm, and christopher morel and their 'little city charger'
miladinovich (sp?) a no show all year?

I don't think National Machine Repair is an outside sponsor, so to speak, since isn't that Luigi Novelli's Company? If so, he can write off some of the racing expense as advertising, but still no deep pockets there as far as I know.

Hmm. Interesting. If so, maybe he is bringing some money to Vegas to help her under-financed team, in exchange for taking a turn at the wheel.

Will is driving Luigi's car. Luigi was already entered when the deal was made and Will entered himself and looks like they didn't take Luigi's name off the list. National Machine Repair is Luigi's company, built by him from the ground up. Spencer is driving Krista's car in Vegas, she will be back in it for Pomona. Miladinovich ran Las Vegas 1 and DNQ'd.

chicago and vegas2 with (40) nitro entries for 2024 season lead, followed closely by indy(39), norwalk and ennis(38), st. louis, vegas1, and pomona2(36),
and reading(35) ....... 6 of the last 7 races (indy and post-indy) make this list, only zmax2 falls short with (32) and the only bye round post-indy ...... IMO very good numbers.
vegas1, chicago, and norwalk the early season events attracting the most entries.

it also appears FC is 20, and not 21, as nhra.com story about tim gibbons bringing pest control sponsor to drive terry's haddock's FC.
terry and tim both on list, but sounds like only tim will drive ...... TF at 19, so vegas2 total is 39.
Terry will be in his car for Vegas. Gibbons is driving a second Haddock funny car in Vegas.

I thought that as well. I saw an instagram post saying they would have a second car for Vegas.

I might be west coast biased but Vegas-2 has really turned into one of the best races of the season. Massive fields in pretty much every class including Alcohol dragster (24!) and Comp Eliminator. Been a long time since I've seen 30+ in comp out west here. Excited to see Travis Shumake come back out west and really excited to see the Winefsky family make their big show debut with John Hale behind the wheel. They made one hit last Friday at the regional race here with Dylan behind the wheel. He is suppose to license on Monday.

Really going to miss not being there this year. For you first timers …. Love how close to the track the stands are, the speedway next door, real bathrooms (!), food right behind the stands and the weather. Disappointed that didn’t see any flyovers from the air base last year, a real bonus attraction.

finally, we're drag racing again.
paul wong in his '86 C10 qualifies Q/SA #2 at [email protected] -1.610 under. only bettered by marshall in another C10 running T/SA
paul qualifies #59 running C/SA at [email protected] -0.232 under. anyone have any info on different E.T.'s and class?
in case you missed it a couple months ago. a little lesson on what ice is intended for 😂

#1 in points hildalgo jr. out in E2 of STK
#2 in points sorenson advances to E3 of STK
i think that equates to 10 points for joe. 20 points back entering this race.
edit: sorenson now thru 4 rnds. should easily have STK pts. lead. potential f/sa heads up final

Perhaps. Not the first time Massey has driven for Baldwin. (Norwalk, this year)

The fuel cars have put up some killer numbers at Vegas in the past and it looks like conditions will be ideal all 3 days. Come on, Tasca....let's see a 340 out of you...LOL

Must have missed it on the entry list but a former D7 bike champion Kahea Woods made his Pro Stock Bike debut today in Las Vegas. Talked to him a few times and a very friendly and funny guy. He was cracking jokes pretty hard a few years ago when I was shooting him in the winners circle at the divisional here. Hope he does well this weekend.
