Interesting that Valdosta, being in far Southern GA, is only about 110 miles from Gainsville, FL. When have we last had National Event tracks so close to each other? Ontario and Pomona back in the 1970's?

Charlotte and Rockingham are 70 miles apart. Not as close, but Joliet, IL and Martin, Mi are 173 miles apart.

I thought I remembered reading that the latest version of the Goodyear tire was supposed to be good for about 350 mph. That's why there has been no big panic about the 340 speeds.

AR is strangely quiet about SL's 345. Whatever Grubby discovered, AJ and BH caught on and now they are refining their discovery. I expect them to tone it down to keep NHRA's tech sheriffs away. Hard to ignore putting 10mph on the field. Note to NHRA tech inspectors, its never under the towel.
