US Nationals 2025 (7 Viewers)

the only way DK loses on monday is if they experience parts failure. nobody is going to outrun them.
Or if Langdon whips an .040 light on him; wouldn't be the first time. But I wouldn't bet againt Doug, either.

Force, low at 3.66, can pull it off but as the temps rise as they will tomorrow (low 80s) that car becomes less consistent. My personal 'best run' of the event so far was Ziz's 3.69/333, his PB elapsed time. That's shuckin' the corn right down to the cob. I'd LOVE to see them win the US Nationals.

This morning myself and a few other race fans were heading down for breakfast at the hotel and the elevator stopped on the 2nd floor and who comes in, Graham Light. He told us to have a great time at the track and he was heading home. I didn’t even realize he was still involved with NHRA.

how about phil esz in TAFC! can't say i knew much about this guy; watched him show up at
one of the earlier darana races this summer, then see him do BIR, and now he runs his best e.t. 5.43
on a bye in E1. i'm tellin' ya', i'm routing for phil
Phil lives about 15 minutes from me. I’ve been trying to keep track of him since he was a T/D guy in PDRA. I thought he would progress to T/AD not funny car.
I know he won Charlotte 2 last year over the Killer Bee’s.
He’s always competitive and has a nice operation.

I am surprised there have been so many poor runs in the fuel classes during qualifying, since it looks like the conditions have been pretty good. Is this a track prep issue again?

I think it's not so much the prep as it is the actual surface. We have seen more than one car AND bike over the years, particularly in the right lane from 100 to 300', look like they are running a SCORE Baja race... Personally, I like it. It makes the tuners have to really think about how to get the car through it, and it makes the driver much more aware of how this just isn't "point and shoot".
It's Indy- you want to be a winner? Bring your A Game and don't expect it to just be handed to you.

Hope he runs Columbus.

The shutdown in the right lane looks downright scary for the bikes. The bumps seem to be bad while trying to slow after a pass. I do really like the new tower though. I wish the IHRA money man could have teamed up with the NHRA and spent some of the bucks for facility improvements. I can't wait for tomorrow.

On the NHRA.tv broadcast semifinal (Top end interview with Courtney Enders) Erica Enders just said her teammate Tony Stewart is in the finals after she made her way into the Pro Stock Final. Sounds like Stewart is going to Pro Stock next season.

If so, does that mean Leah is already bored with being a mom and will be getting back into the seat of the Top Fueler next season? I see she took a few refresher laps in the dragster a month or so ago.
