He might need that and a lot more if he is going to retain Alan's services. :D

Darn!
I hope DSR continues to field the team. I'd hate to see such a great group having to "pass-the-hat" like they did a few years ago.

PS: I'll still support our troops!

Best wishes to both Angelle and Antron. I hope they can collect a couple more Wallys for the Army before the season ends.

No knock on Antron and Angelle - they are both great competitors. But it NEVER made sense to me that the US Army would sponsor two Suzukis. Where is the logic in that?

'Cause HD does extensive Bidness w/Japan Inc........Possibly???

Yeah, hear ya. I ride a Harley and have ridden "metric" bikes and enjoyed them very much. It just doesn't make sense to me. Call me old school. Global economy and all that. It's not about who you buy parts from -- it's about marketing. The US Army and Japan? Roll your eyes all you want. I don't see a Toyota in our sig pic.

I've wondered where the money comes from for these Armed Forces sponsorships. NASCAR has Army, Air Force, Navy, National Guard and other "Service" cars. Are the NHRA and NASCAR sponsorships funded by our tax dollars?

With NO news on NHRA's new partnership, I'm sure a lot of sponsors are becoming very nervous!

Antron is a stand up guy and will find a sponsor fast . With Angelle I have always wondered how she could carry the US ARMY name and act like a spoiled lil kid and boohoo blah blah blah on national tv and in front of the spectators when it dont go her way . THERE IS NO CRYING IN THE ARMY good riddens .

The very first question I asked on this Mater..many years ago..was about the Army sponsorship.

Got many answers (from many that aren't here anymore..hehe)..but working for the Government..I know..it's a fund setup for that..and yes..with tax dollars.

I've always thought it money well spent..IMO. It's millions+ of dollars.

But I would prefer my taxes not raised because of it..mind you.

Our armed forces have always had a marketing budget. It is part of operating the services.

How do youi think the rent is paid for those recruiting offices, etc.

It's not as easy as you think! ;)
Sponsors are hard to come by now-a-days it might be a while before we see Antron or Angelle back on the tour. If you remember a while back Angelle was having problems getting sponsors until Don and the Army stepped in!

It hasn't gotten any easier since.

Has Don S. issued any statement as to whether DSR plans to continue with the bikes? 'Gotta be a decent buy for the sponsons and - God knows - they've gotten lots of TV over the years.

Don?
