i'd be interested to know how much geico motorcycle insurance is sold
as a result of karen stoffer; i would think the answer to that would
say a lot about the class in general.

GEICO is very pleased with their investment with Karen and her team.

Don't be surprised if you see Karen promoting their RV Insurance group in the future also.

I don't think this has much to do with the drivers themselves but the fact that the TF car already gets them all the exposure they need.

Schumacher said he's gonna keep one of the bikes so i think the big question is which one of the riders does he choose. My guess is he'll keep the lady because Antron has not look very good at all this year performance wise and the fact he seems to red light almost every other time he races. besides I'd like to see Antron take shot at ridin' one of them Buells, i suspect he will do very good on one

I think he will pick Angelle too. It really was Antron's team when Schumacher got involved. Antron and his crew chief put together a bike for Angelle to ride to help them get a team sponsorship.

I've been trying to determine if DSR will keep the bike or bikes.

IMHO: I HOPE it's true but, when you have one crew chief and one transporter, it can't be THAT more expensive to carry two riders versus one.
Heck, Angelle or Antron could probably scare up enough Associate Sponsorship $$ to fund the difference.

I had not seen anything from DSR (which was really concerning).

I hope Don can put something together that will result in Antron and Angelle together again next year. Looks like he's 'gonna try. There can't be a better "bang-for-the-buck" than PSB in general and A&A in particular.

How 'bout another insurance outfit? Competition is good!

If the difference in carrying a two bikes over one is like the difference in us carrying our cars, it's not that much more expensive. Especially if you already have the basic set up and operation. We have four cars, 2 SG, 2 SC cars and with the stagered sportsman schedule there have been events where we've only taken 2 out and it's not a savings to take out 2 cars since we still use the same truck, trailer etc.

The difference with our set-up is that not taking the SG cars changes the weight distribution on the trailer and makes it wobble just a bit. But that's another story for another day. Professor Dave can probably draw you a graph, diagram, economies of scale for the whole operation

Angelle mentioned that they were developing a new motor for the Suzuki bikes my question is why?
If NHRA only wants them to go no faster than 6.90's why develope an engine that will cause them to constantly breakout and have to add weight?

OK.......I think I read the whole thread and I did not see it anywhere. How much does it cost to run PSM for the season? Even more specifically, what would the difference in $$ be to run 2 as opposed to 1 bike?

The main reason any of the armed services sponsor a team in any sport or series is to be able to get onsite and recruit. The exposure they get from the team itself is just an added bonus.

They dont, but it's a great marketing tool, " here are free tickets to the Drags this weekend come on out and we'll take care of you", this is PART of the marketing that the Army uses to help recruit, Angelle is a great PSB rider and it will be tough to see her lose her ride, same for Antron, buisness is buisness and I hope they can find a sponsor next year. Eric Gross has NO idea what it takes to run a professional motorcycle operation, His posts speak for themselves, I'm sorry for if you are offended Eric but If you are "in charge" of finding sponsership then you are lacking basic buisness ethics, and if you are just somebody who is "attached" to a real race team then they need to groom you in basic intrepersonal skills, how you come across to the general public is important....I'd rather give Angelle, a proven winner and Champion...who isn't afraid to cry or say whats on her mind, a bunch of cash to race, than some blow hard who comes on nitromater and bashes her for whatever reason????

You obviously have never been involved in PSB and your post prove that .Take it for what it is like it or not if you want to boohoo and cry go play tennis !
