Traxxas

Paul... go to this page and see if you have the same items for the car that will get it to 70 mph... they are different than what they are usualy sold with... but i still think you will have a blast with it....

Traxxas - Bandit VXL (#2407) - Overview | traxxas.com

YES i said you.. i see a screaming fit in the your future.. MOM.. Dad wont let me dirve it..... lol

That's the one. I paid $315 for it, so I guess I get the skill level 1. That should be good because I can't imagine having something going 70mph around my neighborhood.

I was beyond impressed with the Traxxas cars. Thats what everyone in the stands were talking about. Those things are really impressive. They take a beating and keep on going man. They get some crazy air also.

And let me tell you, like yall said they aint cheap. I saw 4 couples walking around this weekend with 2 of them. And to many to count who bought one.

Insane.

I think it is great that Traxxas is involved. They are doing a phenomenal job.

Now, just imagine where the sport could go if the title sponsor put that much effort into activating their sponsorship.

1000% agree Doug. When it was announced years ago that Coke was gonna be NHRA's title sponsor, I was super excited. Turns out, I am super disappointed.

And I know yall dont want to hear it, but John Force Racing does more marketing and PR for NHRA than anyone. If it werent for them, I dont think half the causal fans would even know about drag racing.

Right! I was talking to one of the sales guys for Traxxas and told him that I appreciate them getting involved in drag racing. I also said that I hope they have seen some return on their investment.....and he said "yes we have, very much so."

Justin... little disapointed in Coke Americas efforts myself....

But Traxxas cars can take a beating.... lot of fun too.. Its funny though as rough and tough as they are once in a while a butter fly can land on them and cave them in...lol.. but then that r/c cars in general....lol

At Z-Max someone i saw buyng parts was Shelly Anderson-Payne.. and her son.... which i wanted to ask if they had the cars before Traxxas was in volved or if they got them since traxxas got involved...

Shelly was there in Houston too, her remote wasn't working! She had one of the guys take it apart and replace some stuff!

As much as I hate to admit it, you are 100% correct. I was really surprised to see the Force team at the INDY 500. Got my only drag racing autographs/hand outs in two years at the INDY 500. Who'd a thunk it?

I don't know if it's the same at every track, but at the Winternationals last Feb. Traxxas' display footprint was at least four times larger than that of Full Throttle.

I bought three Traxxas cars since they came into NHRA. A Mustang Boss 302 that goes over 50 mph! (w/2 batteries) A Slash 4 X 4, and a Ford Raptor 4 X 2. My son even bought two of them. It sure is true that John Force does more PR for NHRA than NHRA does for our sport! I think it's ridiculous that as big as Coca-Cola is, they don't support NHRA more than they do. It's not just the "big show", there are bracket racers all over the country that are affected.

Guess its good to say you are one of the many Traxxas Cult followers. .. and thats a good thing...lol

Bob.. on the COKE deal.. i know just form watching a ton is spent in the NASCAR world byt them.. and i often wonder if Coke only jumped on the NHRA to stop PepsiCo from getting in there more... There was huge feud between them two in the Cup area for a long time in the 90's
