I did my voting and voted for the highest ranked non-winners this season. That being Larry Dixon and Del Worsham. After I voted I saw the results so far. Evidently this is a popularity contest. The Force girls are ahead by miles. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of JFR, but I chose to vote for the most deserving. I could go along with Brittany because she's done well this year and is currently 7th. However, Dixon is 4th, and that's who I voted for. Funny Car I don't agree with. I'm sorry Courtney, ... luv ya ... but the car has under-performed all year and is outside the top 10. Meanwhile Del is sitting in 5th. I had to go with Del.

All fan votes are popularity contests, not exactly news unless you live under a rock.

But if a group of people were organized fairly well they can have a significant impact. For example the 2014 NASCAR All-Star race where Josh Wise won the fan vote over Danica Patrick by an insanely large margin.
