That would make sense since there is another 4/5 foot section in the car that added probably 300/400 lbs with the extra Rider in the car. Also this car would never be able to be tuned to actually race. It probably has a bunch more bracing in it too. This is apples and oranges and not related to needing a spec change for competition.

Quick story about Willie. He had a really dry sense of humor. One day down at Howards he walks in with a Fuel pump and throws it down on Maddens desk. When Don (who had been partners with him in a garage) asked him what this is about Willie said with a straight face “The Pump won’t work ‘cause the Vandel’s broke the Handel” ah la Bob Dillon. Then he went in the back to talk to Al Barnes and never cracked a smile.
