Keep in mind that F1 cars look the way they are because of the engineers working within the box that the rules dictate. For e.g., the wings look the way they do not because they are the best possible design for a wing, but rather the best possible design with compromises for the rules limitations. To take that design and transpose it to another series with a different rules package, doesn't necessarily translate well.

The whole point of me doing this test was simple,I wanted to see if ChatGPT could actually create renderings. I was genuinely blown away, not only that it could, but by how well it did them.
Drag racing has always evolved, little by little. Just look at the progression of Top Fuel dragsters over the years and compare the early cars to what they are today. Every generation brought improvements, new ideas, and a willingness to challenge convention.
As a lifelong and dedicated fan of the sport, I believe it's time to start thinking about the next chapter, a reboot of the Top Fuel dragster for a new generation. Hearing Jim Head speak so passionately about the aerodynamics of a current Top Fuel dragster really resonated with me. His comments confirmed what many of us have already been thinking, but hearing them from someone with his experience and credibility gave those thoughts even more weight.
I'm not suggesting we reinvent the wheel overnight. Progress doesn't happen that way. But I do believe it's time to start looking at things differently, exploring new ideas, and asking what the next evolution could be. To me, that's how the sport continues to grow. Innovation brings advancement, and advancement brings excitement. That's what has always driven drag racing forward, and I believe it's what will keep the future of Top Fuel as exciting as its past.

the youtube vid on the neff dragster is REALLY GOOD. there was a piece on it a few years ago when clint
first introduced it. check out the frame rails narrowing behind the engine to the narrowed rear end.
and the small V-shaped spoiler, which is a result of actual wind tunnel testing.
there is a ford engine connection too going back to jim cunningham. if i recall, i think the ford heads on the engine
is the same as the single head clint used in the past on an inline 4 cylinder comp car? not sure if that was a roadster or dragster?

Now that I think about I saw that car run when it had the 4 cylinder in it. The ford V8 in it now sounds amazing!
