Anybody stop and think Tony might just be enjoying this year off ?? He don't need the money, he has plenty of championships, spending time with family
He's probably working harder than he ever has in his life. I've never met anyone involved in this stuff that ever walked away or took time off willingly. Life is short, as is ones sellability and usefulness in this business.

I remember reading about Skusa deeply regretting not being around when his kids was growing up.
IDK the age of Tony’s kids but it may have a lot to do with things

I believe it’s as simple as not having a deal in place. If he did, he’d be racing.

Here is a link to an article Susan Wade wrote at Competition Plus.

Tony has had a long and successful career, he is going out on top. He is still young enough to enjoy his family. This career is 24/7 365 very minimal time "off".
Tony has probably put in the equivalent time of the average persons 50 year career.

You can’t be serious about that statement! I would put money on an almost 41 year career in the electrical utility industry that I have actually “worked” thousands of hours more than Tony, and probably most people on this board could say the same.

They figured why sponsor one car when you can have the whole track? And bought Englishtown.

But Copart didn't buy Englishtown. They have nothing to do with the current agreement/contract and who pays the Napps to store cars on their property. How do you still not understand that?

They(Englishtown/OBTR) have a 3 yr contract with IAA, not copart. The Napps still own it. That's public information that anyone can find in any news article about the subject from the last 2 years.

What gives any of you guys the idea that Tony has stepped away from the sport to spend more time with his family? The fact is that the Army ended their 19 year agreement with DSR and DSR was NOT able to find a 3-5 year deal that they wanted to keep TS on the track full time. He has stated in several interviews that the second the funding is in place his team will be on the starting line. Know where has he indicated that he was taking a break by choice. This break is purely financial based on everything he has said.
