TJ and Snake Racing supporting the troops (1 Viewer)

All of our five drivers donated autographed team shirts, handout cards, etc. for auction on eBay in order to raise money to buy international phone cards, sweats, etc. These items will be purchased by members of Chapter 64, U.S. Army Special Forces Association (Carlisle, PA) and subsequently be taken to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center near Ramstein AB, Germany for our combat-wounded troops. Their next trip, via a USAF Space-available flight out of Dover AFB, DE, will be in early March.

Our GM Racing / NHRA driver support for the troops continues throughout the year - it's not just an annual visit in November. One of the donated items that our SF team will deliver in person next March is a Tom Hammonds-autographed Minnesota Timberwolves jersey (#20) that he wore when he was in the NBA. This jersey will be presented to SFC Soloman Gilbert, NCOIC of the 21st Support Command Dining Facility in Kleber Kaserne, Germany for display in the main dining area.

When you're at an NHRA race, it would mean a lot to our drivers to stop by their pit area and tell them you appreciate what they're doing for our troops: Tommy Johnson, Jr., Warren Johnson, Jim Yates, Cory McClenathan, and Melanie Troxel. Thanks.

Big +1 to that post!

Thank you for the info, Fred. That's a great program you have going. Thanks to the racers and to GM Racing for all that you do for our troops.

Great Job to Fred and all those involved. Just don't forget about the folks forward deployed in Japan, Korea and the rest of the Pacific.
