rick does a good job here ..... and yes, this is great news.
i like how they're doing the 24 dates. 5 nights in chicago, 4 nights each in inglewood, forth worth,
new york, and toronto. 2 nights in cleveland, and 1 night in mexico city.

looked at chicago pricing. $370 for nose bleeds and up from there. $1800 center in front of mixing console.
i think they'll sell out every single show. people will fly into these shows from all over the world.
think i paid about $350 for ac/dc on the floor at the us bank stadium in mpls. this last april.

here they are in all their glory ..... love them, and will always. please feel free to add.
this could be become an amazing thread; thank you martin
tried to link an old 2112 vid, but wouldn't let me, i'll try another one

Thanks Mike, that's one of my favorite live songs of that era for them. The social media regarding the cost of this one has been hard to watch; on one side, they absolutely are looking to bring a phenomenal show to their legions of fans , and in turn, have a proper farewell that did not occur 10 years ago. But, to do that, what makes a modern show competitive with a JellyRoll, Bad Bunny or Swift is an epic amount of the best production equipment - and crew - that money can buy.
With fuel costs, IATSE labor and
equipment all being at all time highs, that production budget requires an army of accountants to wrangle it. Management is different than 10 years ago, and there are definitely some aspects that are never going to come to light affecting ticket prices.
Also note: Every show is a walk-away; the arena is literally being leased for the week for every 4 show dates in each city.

I feel for the long-time fans that can't drop $2k for great seats, but that $400/seat to be in the room is comparable to every other major tour happening all over the planet. I guess everyone that has bought tickets knows that this is not gonna be like KISS or The Stones; once this one closes out, it's finished. Get it while you can.

martin, i agree will all your comments, especially your very last statement. i will try to go to chicago next july.
saw a list last week saying all 24 original dates were sold out, but now today seem to be finding tickets,
so we'll see. gotta' get the right amount of friend/s that will commit to go and just do it.
those knuckleheads at rolling stone and rock-n-roll hall of fame never understood truly great artists that weren't
part of mainstream music, and they never will.

funny thing, in a recent interview, i think alex said he never understood the popularity of jacob's ladder, and was not his favorite to perform,
but the fans have always wanted it.
