The First 200MPH Pro/Stock Bike Run ??

Why not?! I think some of the teams have the right stuff queued up if the weather cooperates. And the forecast looks good right now.

I'd love to see one of the Suzuki's do it but I don't think it's going to happen, by anybody.

Not going to happen at Pomona, the track has some elevation (1,043ft above sea level), it will happen at a track that's near sea level. Gainesville will be the next real chance of it to happen.

I think Andrew said in order to get a 200 they would need a good track and a tail wind. So the weather is really key.

If I recall correctly, the Harley team was pretty close to eclipsing the 200mph barrier in Gainesville this year, so as Paul had mentioned, that's probably the next best bet!

If one of the Harley-Davidson bikes hits 200mph, H-D's Kris Schoonover has promised to shave his substantial beard! Don't think the weather will cooperate at Pomona because it'll be in the '80s both qualifying days - Sunday should be cooler - why not go and find out?

But .... First Bike qualifying sessions are scheduled before Noon each day. It won't be in the 80's at that time. I don't think 200mph will happen either, but it could be pretty quick and fast. Let's see what Jerry Savoie or Chip Ellis can do on their Suzukis.

On a side note, has anybody ever seen Kris without the beard. Probably would have to look twice before recognizing him without it.
