Ennis, Tx -- When Keith Haney of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma decided to park his race car for the 2008 racing season and build a brand new Pontiac GXP Top Sportsman car built, he never could have imagined a better experience for the complete process through delivery. Haney took possession of his new car at the end of the 2008 racing season and waited out the winter to get a couple of shake down passes prior to competing at the teams first event last weekend in Ennis, Texas.

Haney successfully qualified in the 7th position and made it into the second round of eliminations where he missed his dial by 2 hundredths of a second still laying down a 6.82 at over 203 mph in the quarter mile.

"You never know what is going to happen when you get ready to build a new car" said Haney. "I contacted Wally at Stroup Race Cars with a car in mind.

"Stroup Race Cars along with Coan Transmissions and Steve Schmidt Racing Engines went above and beyond their call of duty to not only deliver before the scheduled date, but also worked very closely to ensure that when my GXP did arrive, it was a top notch ride."

Haney, who owns two GM dealerships Claremore and Miami Oklahoma, understands the value of customer service and believes that these three companies offered that plus more.

"When we got our shake down passes in Tulsa, Wally, from Stroup Race Cars. went the extra mile and flew to Tulsa on his own to make sure that the car was going to launch properly" continues Haney. "We did find that we needed to add some extra pre-load to the car. Once the necessary adjustments were made, we headed south west to compete in Ennis.

"Next, Gary Shomiski (Crew Chief for Steve Schmidt's Pro Stock Team) flew in to Dallas. Steve Schmidt's company also committed to this on their own to ensure maximum engine performance for the way they set it up to work with the installed Coan Transmission and converter.

"Jason, Art and Walker from Coan Transmission and Converter has to be included within the triangle of successful manufacturer's. All I had to do was email them my computer data and from there, they taught me everything else of what I could do for maximum performance.

"I can't thank all of those manufacturer's enough for everything the did and leaving me with not only a great race car for the 2009 racing season and beyond, but for the genuine effort of excellent post delivery support."

Haney's Suburban Chevrolet / Tigerflow Top Sportsman Team will be competing next at the Division 4 South Central Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event, April 24 to 26, 2009 in Memphis, Tennessee. They hope to have the car running even closer to the 210 mile an hour marker by that event.
