I'm not going to whip anyone's ass. It was a comment made in jest, made before I, or anyone at the site where I first saw the picture, had any idea who was involved. All I saw is what appeared to be an oildown of epic proportions that created a 2-hour shutdown at a national event, and I popped off about it.
This is the first time I've returned to this thread since you posted your explanation. At the time of my post, there was no explanation or I never would have started the thread, let alone wise off as I did. That's not the way I roll. But as a result, the only correct course of action on my part is a complete retraction and an apology for hurtful words before I even knew who I was directing them towards.
Quite obviously you owe no one an apology. What happened appears to be an accident that could have happened to anyone and not the result of poor maintenance or junk equipment. I make no excuses, Dan. I made a mistake, I'm sorry and I've learned a lesson.
