Once in a Lifetime

AA/FC It's July of 1972 and the NHRA Div 7 race at Lions. The one and only time I went to Lions. I was a 13 year old kid from Washington State and a big thank you to my big sister, she was hip, still is at almost 78 years old. We are just out of the picture, to the right. One of my all-time favorite AA/FC. Pat Foster in the seat of Barry Setzer's Vega, just bitchin

Another trip to Oz

He is in the ANDRA Hall of Fame, Australia drag racing great Jim Read in the seat of the AA/FD that he bought from the team from the USA of Cohon, Oswald and Velasco. Here in the States it was driven by "The Worlds Fastest Living Kamikaze Pilot" Dave Uyehara

For a change

AA/FD For a change, let's trip back to the early 80s. Air race pilot Frank Taylor decided he wanted a Top Fuel dragster to go along with his "Dago Red" race plane (below). He put Rocky Epperly in the seat and the car set a new NHRA speed record at 257.14 MPH at OCIR in 1983
