Centerfold Memories

AA/FD Once again, I had this centerfold on my bedroom wall many moons ago. It's 1972, The Last Drag Race at Lioins and 18 year old Jeb Allen is in the seat of his family's "Praying Mantis" fuel dragster. This is the top fuel final, Carl Olson in the far lane

AA/FC B&W photos are my favorite. Love or hate her (I like her). It's 1971 and Jack and Shirley Muldowney have gone nitro racing in the former Conrad Kalitta Ford Mustang body flopper and the rest is history

you do support Drag Illustrated, right?

Once again, "Sunday will never be the same" has nothing to do with today's drag racing scene, it's about the 1960s, 70s and early 80s. DI is a good magazine, but it didn't come out until the early 2000s. If don't like what I post don't look

Holdin' on to Yesterday

AA/FC It's 1970 and the late Pat Foster is in the seat of Don Cook's vette body flopper. A year later in 1971 Don would have a Cuda body AA/FC called the "Damn Yankee" Pat in the seat (see below). The AA/FC in the other lane is Leroy "Doc" Hales "Wild Breed" Mercury Cougar body funny car, very cool. I have a list of Div 1 through 7 top fuel and funny car drivers, from the late 60s into the early 80s, comes in handy
