My Pinto actually had light blue paint, kinda, sorta like Densham's Pinto. Of course, my Pinto was just a tad slower.....

Wheel pants for T/F. Even Garlits tried those. They did get banned cuz they caused the cars to dart around on the top end. I thought they would add streamlining to the cars but......

If you look closely at the Garlits fire burnout photo, you can see him looking at the mirror on his left side of the car. Y'all remember when T/F cars had mirrors, so they could see if the were doing the burnouts right? Like 1971-72.

Thanks, your comment made an awesome picture, even more so! Saw big do a fire burnout @ US30, was surprised because I thought it was out of character for him, but he loved doing them.

I think there were some lower class cars that went down after the TF final, so it depends on how you define the last pass.
