I’ve got a challenge for Bob Reese: please find a picture of Eddie Pauling’s “Whinemaker” Cougar rear-engine funny car from the late ‘60s. I saw it race several times at the original Tucson Dragway but didn’t have a camera.
The car was wiped out at Tucson in 1969(?) when it got airborne at 180+.
It never really hooked up and it was not unusual for it smoke the tires almost the quarter mile.
It was a beautiful car.

I always enjoyed seeing that car run.
Obviously, in that wheelie picture, the car could hook, but it was usually a smoke show at Tucson.
Interesting seeing all the weight on the front end in the wheelie shot. It looks like the only thing securing it to the front end is a bunch of 200 mph tape.

Fuel Curve has bin around since May of 2016. I found it in June 2016 when I was on the
Goodguys website buying a discount ticket to the Friday night drags at Pacific.
The index bar on top of the main page, click on Time Capsule good stuff, but the hole site
is a good read.
