Sullivan racing announces associate level sponsorship with k&n filter (1 Viewer)

Corning, CA - Kalifornia Katie Sullivan and the Sullivan Racing/Girls For A
Change NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle team are pleased to announce a new
associate-level sponsorship with K&N Filters Powersport division for the
2011 season. The deal will include product and monetary support for the 2011
season, with potential of growing into a larger deal for years beyond. "I
like to work with Racers who are going somewhere!" said Johnny Jump, K&N's
Powersport Division Brand Manager. Katie is 20 years old and has more drive
and energy and is putting more into her career and this sport than many of
the veterans out there. I learned that if I want to have racers on the K&N
program that are going to get us publicity, then I need to work with racers
who work as hard as I do."

After an up and down 2010 campaign where the team struggled to find
horsepower and consistency, the family-run operation showed some huge signs
they had found something when they ran a career best 7.089 at 188 MPH at the
NHRA Finals in Pomona back in November in her last qualifying attempt.
Unfortunately that career-best had her on the bump at Pomona, and she didn't
make the show. That run however, fueled the fire that started an intense
off-season trying to find new marketing partners so they could build on
their success. After a couple months of courting, and some back and forth
negotiating via email, the deal got done with K&N. "I am so stoked for the
2011 season because my dad and I have been working incredibly hard on
developing this team," said Sullivan. "It is an honor for Kalifornia Katie
Racing to have the opportunity to work with company like K&N Filters. I know
that with the support from the K&N filters staff and being able to test
their amazing products will help our team to be that much more successful."

Katie and her team are excited to kick off the 2011 season where she can
potentially run 12-13 races of things shake out right. The plan for now is
to test at Valdosta, GA the week prior to Gainesville, and then debut the
newly designed K&N Bike and kick off the 2011 season at the Gatornationals
in Gainesville, FL, March 10th-13th, 2011. The K&N crew will also be
outfitting Katie with what's being touted as the fastest K&N Replica helmet
ever to ride a motorcycle.

Jump closed by saying, "Kalifornia Katie is on it! It makes me proud to
support someone like her. We wish her the best this year and are going to do
whatever we can to get her to the starting line. Gentlemen look out, and
start your engines!²
