Charlie Allen from Firebird (Phx, Az) and Ron Hodgeson the Auto Dealer from Edmonton are taking over the operation / lease / ownership of Spokane Raceway Park...

what happened to Bucky Austin and his obligations there?

Just curious?

Larry Fulton

Ron Hodgson (sp corrected) is more than an "Auto Dealer from Edmonton" . He is the one time owner of Edmonton International Speedway, former owner of the Bubble Up and Pacemaker series of funny cars driven by 240 Gordie Bonin and others, and a member of the Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame.

Hodgson is a partner in this '77 Firebird nitro funny car, tuned by Roland Leong. Tim Boychuk qualified third in the car at this weekend's March Meet in the 32-car field.

My original post was copied from the News Article....
and personally I knew all of the above that you have stated, thanks.

My question was about Bucky, and his obligations with the County and Spokane Raceway Park....

Anybody got any insight?

Buckie gave the county a wedgie and now they're going to give him one.

Bucky didn't pay several contractors and they had liens on the property, as any good contractor would. The county is the property owner, not Bucky, so the county had to pay them. Needless to say that upset the county, and they terminated the lease agreement.
