Sonoma curfew........Why? (3 Viewers)

Having been to Sonoma several times over the years, I could never figure out why they had a curfew, especially on Saturdays where I believe the curfew is 7pm when it is still daylight out. To my knowledge the only thing within a few miles of the track is a bay/marshland and grapes. The first time I went in 2010 they ran right up against the 10pm curfew because of a few oildowns and Gary Densham shredding a body and had to cancel Q2 for Top Fuel much like last night. Anyone have any insight?

I live about 2 miles from National Trail raceway and when nitro is there it is almost like they are in my living room. So depending on how many homes are in the area it can be annoying with the noise. NT can run til 11pm I believe, last time IHRA was there it was midnight.
And before you say I shouldn't have moved next to the track MY house was here BEFORE NT. Also I am not complaining just pointing out facts.

We all complain about the lack of night racing, we get one in optimal conditions, and get cheated out of it. Sometimes we can’t win.

The point is there are hardly any houses nearby to Sonoma, plus, they only have drag racing once a year. Maybe the stupid curfew is something new? Looks like they need to start the nitro Q sessions earlier if so.
