I think this best sums it up!!! Thanks Donald Rumsfeld for clearing up the mystery!!!
THE KNOWN UNKNOWS
The Unknown
As we know,
There are known knowns.
There are things we know we know.
We also know
There are known unknowns.
That is to say
We know there are some things
We do not know.
But there are also unknown unknowns,
The ones we don't know
We don't know.

Now we know why the Iraq War didn't go so well. Rumsfeld was in charge and he fired the General who had the audacity to suggest that we needed a couple of hundred thousand troops. Given that things have gone well in Iraq since we increased the number of troops to 150,000, we might have had most of our troops home by now if Bush had listened to that General (Shinseki) instead of Rumsfeld.
Back to the original topic of this thread-normally we should never know the outcome of the appeal just as we never should have heard of the fine. But given the original botch-up of the situation by NHRA, they should at least have the decency to let us know if Don wins his appeal.

All in good fun, Mr. Cerberus--Alan and I have committed the ultimate political sin of admitting to each other that there's plenty wrong with OUR party of choice as well as the other's. After we did that, we can actually be civil in our political differences....hmmmm, if that idea would catch on....ah, never mind, just the ramblings of the mind of one of 3 democrats in Nebraska--and Nebraska has the distinction of being the ONLY (only, that is) state in the Union that is governed by a unicameral legislature, even though the state senator candidates all run as Rep or Dem....go figure.....Ouch........that ricocheted over here. Thanks buddy...
Owwww....

Hurts......
unicameral
Sounds like it may be closely patterned after Terryism--being a Terryite, I don't give a sh*t who gets elected as long as they do good things for ME! and screw everyone else. That's my story and I'm stickin to it....but Alan, the unicam deal is (sadly) the truth. Gives you kind of an insight into the Nebraska mindset...let's see, let's try this unicameral thing, and if no one else decides it's a good deal and go with it in let's say 140 years or so, let's still think it is the hot setup and stick with it another 100 or so years! That kind of sounds made up.......
(And now they all know the secrets to our success....and I am now following the party of Loder-ocracy....whatever the hell is best for me Sounds familiar??)

Ahem, with what is growing in the center of some of those large corn fields in western Nebraska, I thinkin' they probably wouldn't be smoking corn stalks!Do they know that the corn is for eating?? Tell 'em to quit smoking the stalks!!!!
