Shirleys Firesuit-Just in time for Christmas

Just my viewpoint but if there was enough interest from "investor" types ready (and capable) to plunk down 25 thou in speculation of profit a few years down the road, they would see there has been no general public acceptance of drag racing as a major sport. I wish it weren't so but virtually no one outside of drag racing's own racers and fans has any interest or knowledge of the sport and investing that kind of money seems foolish to me. Good luck though, I think Shirley's story is one in a million and appreciate all she's done for the sport but then again, I'm a drag racing person.

My bad folks. I should have taken a closer look at the auction. It does have it listed as $24,999 or BEST OFFER and that makes a heckuva lot more sense to me. Whole different ball game now.

No denying, it does have significance to the motorsports world. I would feel better if it was perhaps auctioned off at Barrett-Jackson, with proceeds to charity or something like that. Or donate it to the NHRA museum - or better yet, to the one in Ocala (LOL). I'm willing to bet that Shirl' will get a piece of that dough. When you see "REAL DEAL" on the title.... just invokes another type of "looking to make a buck" image..... to me
