Severe winds in Vegas!

It was pretty bad yesterday. Power poles were blown over on Koval Lane behind Planet Hollywood. Numerous stop lights were out during the evening commute. Going to be windy again today but not supposed to be as bad.

Forecast is for the wet stuff to continue until about 1PM local time and then about 2 hours or so of track drying after that.
There isn't a curfew that I know of, but it gets really cold at night this time of year. It's only 56 degrees now at 11:30am and a predicted low of 50's tonight.

HI David. Were you part of the Butters & Gerard modified fuel roadster from 1960's? I saw that car run at San Fernando.

Guilty!

Bill passed away about two years ago, but I am too dumb to quit <g>!

Bill and I also ran TF for several years until it just got too expensive for two guys. We sold off all of the TF stuff and built a B/ED that I drove for several more years. Bill was a lot older than me and finally wanted to quit, so we sold off that operation too.

I still own a race car with two long time friends, Steve Moeller and Walt Whitby. I originally was just going to help them out with getting their C/ED operation up and going, but we are still together after over 30 years!

After a lot of years in Competition Eliminator running C/ED, B/ED, and D/ED, we currently run a Top Dragster in the LODRS and NMCA-West events. We will be in Vegas next weekend.

I do a lot of the West Coast reporting for www.DragRaceCentral.com and will be reporting on that race too.

OK, here is a little story. I remember the B/ED, it was a rear engined car. I went once to the old Irwindale and it was raining. I helped you guys load the car on the trailer. I think the race got rained out. Die hard fan that I am, I knew it was raining but when out there anyway. At least I got to see the car and talked to you guys a little. I remember asking you if you were part of the modified roadster team. By the way, I really like the Top Dragster class. Who drives your car? Also, there is a T/D driver named Tom Thode. Do you know if he is related to Trotter & Thode AA/FD from the 60's? I must be the only guy who remembers this stuff. HA
