Sounds like Hight lost a tire after a quick pedal job, not sure if the track peeling up has anything to do with it or not. With the conditions today the nitro cars should be flying but the FC's had no luck putting down any decent numbers in the 2nd session. We will see what TF can do.
Force was in the Media Center right after the Hight tire bomb and said that he did not believe that the track was the problem, when specifically asked.
He said that they all make too much power and that its their job to make it work.
pacific raceways has some real issues that have been going on ever since the present owners took it back. If they can't pull it off (what they have been talking about for several years) turn it over to somebody who can. I love the place but haven't been there in a few years because it's just not like i remember it in years past.
The Fioritos want to upgrade the entire facility but they've been running into obstacles and frankly, from what King County officials told me earlier this year, they've created some of their own obstacles.
Alot of us were under the impression that Jason had all of the permits 2-3 years ago!!!
And now he's begging us to do his damn job!!!
I was totally embarassed today for any newbie @ the track!!! Wilk told me after Q1 that the left lane problem wasn't "the bump" that has been there forever. It was before that, between 330' & 660'. & the right lane really wasn't much better!!!
Both fuel sessions just stunk!!!
We're supposed to be warmer the next 2 days so hoping it gets better!
I wonder if this will be Seattle's last National???
