Awesome David,

The designs are wonderful, even I'd hire you (lol), but more than anything it just shows the advantages of having a nicely finished rendering of the racecar.

Now go and get those Charger templates done! ;)

And no I haven't done any Chargers yet either. Can't see any of my clients having a charger body for a while yet... unless there's a lottery win I don't know about!

I guess I'm just an old fart.. & ain't into the "New" Psycodellic" paint jobs..

Too my very "OLD" eyes I used to love 3 cars.. #1 Joe Pizano (sp) Candy Apple Red with just the word PIZANO on the side.. back in the 80s also I like'd The Hawaiian Funny car....Last was Al Hoffmans car.

I just cant get excited about these Physco paint Jobs.. I agree they are a lot of work..and the younger age group is what they are trying to appeal to... & IF thats what WORKS ... I say GO FOR IT ! As long as they run good.. I can live with any paint job...

Very talented renderings, there. I'm very impressed.

By the way, any pics of this car in real life anywhere on the internet yet?

thanks

I just looked at "the finished product" photo provided. Sorry, it doesn't help. Isn't this the same board whereon posters complain that the new Funny Cars don't look at all like the cars they represent?
Part of the problem is camouflage. Look at Force's Mustangs, por ejemplo.
There is a character line on the side of the Mustang that parallels the rocker panel and sweeps up at the rear to suggest the panel depression on the side of the earliest Mustangs. It should be highlighted for appearance, in my judgment, but it is attenuated by the paint job which does not follow the car's lines.
I don't doubt the talent of the artists to the slightest degree. Such skill, used to create cartoon paint jobs, could be used to create beautiful cars. The designers in Detroit are busy pushing concepts that pull the best of older designs forward into contemporary forms. Would that the artists who paint them do likewise.
Cheers,
Ed
P.S. I know it's usually vinyl wrap not paint. Please, just don't tell me. The next thing you know they'll be making the bodies out of fiber reinforced plastic or carbon fiber. Then they'll take away our carburetors . . .

Is it a tribute to a Journey album?
(not trying to be offensive or anything...just not sure what it is.)

but looks good.
