I am not a basher, and that is probably because I have had a chat with him. I like him. He was very nice, honest, not just going thru the motions of a quick conversation and on to the next person in line. He talked with me for a while about mountain biking, and that is how I became a 'Whit fan'.

Yep, nice enough guy to a fan. But he often rubs people the wrong way, especially other competitors, and he has an uncanny ability to insert his foot in his mouth. Add to that the fact that he is often short tempered, and you have a mix that is toxic to a sponsor. With more skilled drivers than seats, it is not a surprise that Whit finds himself on the outside looking in.
I have and that is the reason why I like the guy. I like people such as Whit, Tony Stewart, and Kyle Busch these are all guys who are not afraid to show their true emotions and tell you exactly how they feel about something. The people who don't like these guys are generally those who easily get their feathers ruffled.

Whit's OK by me ... the drag racing world is a lot more boring without him in it.
That may very well be, but there have been (and will be) a lot of 'nice' drivers that find themselves without a ride just as well. FWIW

How many out there really think he can get his OWN deal in this day and age? I think Whit has burned too many bridges IMHO.My first offer comes with conditions since there are those on this site that have privy information...
