If there is ONE word that has NEVER come out of Gary Scelzi's mouth ... it is Narcissism.
With a few exceptions (Kalitta, Head come to mind) EVERYONE out there is ONLY out there due to some sponsor scratching out a check and "buying their ride". Do you think Force would be out there without Castrol writing him a big check? How about Scelzi ... would he be there without Mopar and Oakley? Capps would be nowhere without Napa. The list goes on ...
You can say all you want how people resent Jack for getting his ride bought for him ... but it has been happening since the beginning of racing time and is part of the game. If you can't take it, find a new game. If you or me show up with a big enough check, we can have most anyone's ride with a few exceptions. It sucks, but those things run on money ... not nitro methane.
Lastly, let's assume what you are saying has merit, which we ALL KNOW IT DOESN'T, Fast Jack is not the one getting punched in the mouth by his teammates ... Whit was. So yeah, I am real sure Ron Capps was sad to see Bazemore go and be replaced by Jack Beckman and his narcissism.
(PS I am not a Bazemore hater .. I kinda miss him ... but I am reasonably sure Capps doesn't)

You're clearly a troll, but I'll bite...
Perhaps the reason Whit doesn't have a ride is that he's a real problem for potential sponsors. He may be a competent driver, but has little class and even less charisma. Worse, he's prone to random acts and statements that cause them heartburn.
Rarely a week went by on the tour when he didn't say or do something that would make a sponsor wince. Far from being endearing like Force or Scelzi, Whit's randomness was just grating. And he made people want to take a swing at him... just the kind of thing with which corporate America can't afford to be associated.
Corporations need clean, charismatic, safe spokepersons, and that's just not who Whit is. He had second, third and fourth chances -- and he blew them all. So he doesn't have a ride. Sucks for him.
You may not like Jack (although clearly you don't know the man, as I and others do), but he's charming, well-spoken, and nobody is taking swings at him. He's proven endearing to his sponsors (plural), and that's all that really matters.
You can crawl back under your bridge now, but I highly doubt you will...

2. a person, firm, organization, etc., that finances and buys the time to broadcast a radio or television program so as to advertise a product, a political party, etc.
3. a person who makes a pledge or promise on behalf of another.
It doesn't matter where the money comes from, the simple fact it, it's there.

As far as Whit goes, Whit is Whit. He came up the hard way and earned it. Nothing was handed to him. Sometimes he can be annoying, sometimes he can be charming, sometimes sour, and sometimes funny. At least he is himself. Far too many people underestimate him IMO. He'll be back if and when HE is ready, under HIS terms.
