Run of the year? How about Run of the Decade. Wouldn't it be cool to see him run at Gainesville, Maple Grove or Brainerd during an NHRA event?

Valdosta will be interesting for sure, with what looks like a host of the US based Top Fuel will be in attendance
Larry McBride, Dave Vantine, Chris Hand, Sam Wills, Mitch Brown.
Tommy Grimes and the Nordic based "Beast" have already made laps at Rockingham.
Fast Fill and Ian King bringing the Gulf bike back with Ian in the seat.
As well as others that are rumored to be coming over.
At Santa Pod earlier this year Fast Fil has been:
5.662 @ 246.74
5.663 @ 233.94
5.701 @ 244.22
5.869 @ 195.45 as his Worst run!this run starter with 0.97 60ft, 2.50 330ft, 3.70 @ the 1/8
Another Rumored bike to return to the states for the final is Jaska Salakari
On a chute dragging run 0.9711 60ft, 2.479 100meters (328ft), 3.6707 200 meters (656 ft) with a 1/4 mile time of 5.8372

Anyone near SGMP November 21-24 needs to see these beasts in action.

No offence to nitro Harleys, but I would love to see blown fuel bkes run the NHRA circuit. Can you imagine a grand stand full of people & Mcbride runs a 5.60 at 263? I think they'd be stunned.

I was at Houston when Spiderman made the first run in the 5's. That was very impressive at the time. A 5.60 is amazing!!!

Pardon my ignorance, but why won't NHRA run this class at a few races?

I remember seeing top fuel bikes at the National Event in Sanair (Montreal) in the early eighties, I think.

I remember one bike was called the Orient Express.

They were impressive at that time.
