Rhonda's Racin' !

Glad to see you guys are back and good luck.

for the Pick the Winner players Rhonda has been added to the game

We are excited about Rhonda being back at an NHRA event, especially the first ever 4 wide nationals.

We have teamed up with Joe and Alan Hartley and are using their car/equipment/crew from last year. It was a strong performer and we are looking forward to a good outing this weekend.

Hey Virgil,

Hope to make it by your pit to wish you guys success this weekend. Great to have you and Rhonda back at the track and especially for the inaugural 4-Wide Nationals. All the maters are pulling for you guys!

Virgil - my congratulations. Coming up with a deal to get out there and run nitro in this modern age is in itself a tremendous accomplishment!

Don't hurt too much stuff and be safe and good luck on courting some additional backing. I hope NHRA doesn't make you go out and make nine free nitro runs for your own good as part of coming back!

Looks like she ran a number today too. That Hartley team did some damage, I hope Rhonda and the team kick some ass this weekend.

We competed in the first 4 wide nationals and loved it. Friday some drivers were having problems staging, but most nitro drivers had it figured out for Saturday and all of the qualified cars did great today.

It was a sensory extravaganza of the utmost degree. Everyone was frustrated Friday, but I think most came around to like it by eliminations. It has opened the event up to give more cars a chance to win the event. Almost every fan that talked to us loved it. They talked about how the stands vibrated as the cars passed by, especially on the top end.

Ask Irwin Tools how they liked their first foray into drag racing. They seemed to be stoked from what I witnessed. The potentials we entertained this weekend all went away with a new awareness of the capabilities of drag racing to be used as a marketing tool for their wares. And most of the high points are in the pits and off site, with track and tv time as a bonus.

If you weren't there, you missed a great weekend of entertainment at a great facility. Also remember that at half full this track has more spectators than others when they are jam packed.

I'm willing to hold out on the 4 wide thing till I experience it first hand. But on TV it just doesn't cut it! Once the cars go down track you have no idea who ran what, who was in what lane? I hope Bruton leaves Las Vegas alone!

Thanks for the update Virgil. Rhonda looked like she was having a blast,I don,t think you could have wiped Herberts smile off with bon-ami (a cleanser, for you younger crowd), Richard even got some facetime.

Great weekend for you guys, I'm glad to see you out there. Its not to far to Bristol, hint.
