I just don’t think it offered much to the fans. It was close racing but I think 80% of the trucks were Chevy S-10’s. They seemed to get 30+ trucks regularly but there wasn’t much excitement of 7.50’s at 177 MPH. I find Comp, TS and TD much more exciting. A large variety of different cars with racing that is faster than PST was. I felt bad for all the competitors that invested into the class only to see it go away in the manner it did. I think the only thing NHRA could have done differently was not crest the class in the first place. I could say the same thing about Factory X but that is another discussion.

Yeah Comp is pretty good for sure....I think the old PS Trucks wound up in it. Perhaps then, in retrospect, maybe they could have called the class Comp Truck, as a Sportsman class, instead of PS Truck? Might have worked then. Sadly we'll never know.

This is just my take on Pro Stock trucks, they should have been the heads up class at all divisional races, maybe run 3 or 4 national events. As you have Top Fuel, Funny Car and Pro Stock cars as your premier events, the division races would have been the "Junior Events", Top Alcohol Dragster, Top Alcohol Funny Car and Pro Stock Truck..

I liked PST. I followed Comp and many of the SB classes. I always raced SBC and liked the competition. Many of the PST racers came from Comp.
I'm guessing I'm the minority.

I like Pro Stuck Truck. I get that mid 7's weren't that thrilling. However as a racers class, I liked the appeal. It sure didn't deserve any hate. Now a Pro Mod truck class? Small block. Power adder. Manual shift. Functioning tailgate (or something that separates it from Pro Mod), spec tire size etc. At least you can still get similar from the showroom floor.
