I have been watching how the radial cars run at the drags, especially 1/8 mile. Besides the fact that the tires are narrower & don't "wrinkle" like regular slicks, what is the biggest difference? I'm not a tire guy so my understanding is limited. If a radial were to be made the same width as a regular slick, could it run run just as quick & fast? I'm always amazed at the technology that is developed in drag racing and the radial tires are no exception.

Its amazing to me how the radial tires make the suspension almost try to seperate from the car as where the big tires mash the suspension in to the track. Where you watch the radial cars from the rear you can see it looks like the rear of the car is lifted

Is this race live? I looked, could not fine anything, if not what a shame. 46 cars for a 16 car field
And you know it would be better coverage then NHRA TV
