Pro Camaro is extremely boring. (5 Viewers)

an out of the blue question, from a naïve engine person. With the implementation of the 10.5K RPM limit, in pro stock, a few years ago, does that all but render the usage of Nitrous Oxide irrelevant?
It's effectively a 'bottled supercharger' or 'chemical supercharging' which as far as the engine sees is pretty much what it is - so no.

Despite any issues with the current cars, the group of drivers in PS is arguably at its highest level. Anderson, Jeg, Enders, Glenn and many more.

I'll vary between models and trim packages but the stock-body Camaro and Mustang are pretty close with the Camaro edging the Mustang just a little, like 0.32cD vs 0.33cD. The Dart has an advantage over both, with a cD of around 0.29. But a Dart hasn't won a PS race since Allen Johnson won one 8 years ago and I believe Alan Prusiensky is the only driver campaigning one now. There's several possible reasons but I'd be hesitant to even guess at one of them.

I'll take one guess, Dodge wouldn't license the bodies to anyone wanting to put a non MOPAR engine in one. That is the. ultimate sin in the car world. I have a friend who owns a Challenger with a turbo LS in it, run 6.80's, any place he goes with it there were problems. He wound up putting the engine into a Camaro.

For a class based on stock production automobiles, it makes no sense to allow a Ford with a GM engine or a Mopar with anything but a Mopar engine. A friend of mine once painted his '70 El Camino engine Ford blue, put Ford emblems on the valve covers and a Holman Moody lump hood scoop on it. I told him it wouldn't make it any faster....
What are these cars, the automotive equivalent of "trans"?

Bob, your post brought back a memory.
We had a BB/FC Monza body with partial sponsorship from a Chevy Dealer, so we had
Chevy Bowtie emblems glued to the Chrysler Valve covers. We were racing at Kil Kare near Dayton. Well two guys about got into a fistfight over it being a Chevy or Chrysler engine. Lol
