Looks like Mine Shaft conditions. Friday - 70 - 44 Saturday 69 - 45 Sunday 66 - 43. 0 percent chanch of rain - humidity in th mid 20% range. If there was ever a better chance to rotate the Earth I can't recall it.
Not yet. They're having a lot of traction problems, both TF and FC. Cruz ripped off a nice 3.84 but that was about it. No TF car is in the 3.60s.
Cloudy and in the low 60s.....sounds to me like it was too cold. I'd rather see it 70 degrees with some sun and the track in the 90-100 range with that good dry air. Even PS isn't any quicker than it normally is with decent conditions (#1 is 6.52/211)

As much as I love the cool, dry November "NHRA Finals" weather we always seem to get, it does always seem that the best Qual session for the Fuel cars ends up being 1st session on Sat. By the time the 2nd Fuel car session rolls around on Sat (last qualifying session of the year), we're all ready for some "Rotate the Earth" runs, but the track cools off enough that half the cars go up in smoke at the hit. Would be great if it was just a bit warmer to keep the track temp up as Carl states.

Cruz Pedregon; back to back 3.84s. The old boy certainly found something in that combination of his. And I'll bet $$$ Grubnic was not only shooting for a 300mph 1/8th mile but a 340mph quarter mile. He came close. They have 2 more days of identical weather so who knows.
Grubby's got his #1 so far, if you listen they still might push tomorrow for a few more points. 2 qualifiers tomorrow, if lucky can make it more than 20 point lead before Sunday! Will have to see how ladder works out for Sunday. Very, Very close!
Out on a limb here but AA/FC Hight will step up, but how about Cruzer? Where did that .84 come from? Don't forget about Hagen!
Lee Beard is consulting on Cruz' team. That's where the 3.84's came from. So 3.79 anyone?
Stevie did pretty good in T/F 3.656 and 333.33. I think that is the quickest & fastest he's ever run.
Yes I want to see Brittany run 340 and also 300 1/8 mile.

I don’t think you’ll see the 300/340 but we’d ll love to. Too risky. She needs all the points she can get in a close contest so can’t take a chance on overpowering and coming away with no points for the session. So I think another .65 or so, getting Second points for the round won’t hurt but getting none might.

I do...and I don't. My guess is the first time someone hits 340, NHRA will mandate the timing retard kick in at an RPM lower than it already is to prevent it from happening again. The 300mph 660 record? I'm surprised that hasn't been broken. I forgot who it was but someone hit 298mph over 20 years ago. Morgan Lucas came within a whisker of 300 back when he was racing.
