Pomona TV Audience

That's fantastic!! I will say being on the actual Fox network has to have an impact, I had I lot of people tell me they saw the races that normally wouldn't mention it. Friends and family that aren't diehards.

I thought the coverage on Sunday far surpassed anything Fox did last year. I like the fact that they weren't done with the first three rounds after 90 minutes.

Fox has nothing to do with the broadcast. NHRA produces the show in house and Fox televises it for them. You're giving credit to the wrong people.

I thought that the opening segment was cool being that they hired the "movie trailer announcer with the deep voice" to do the narration. Also, the shot that they did with Light on the radio do a check with the Safety Safari before the start was different addition but seemed copied from NASCAR as an added drama. Cool tho.

Coverage was much better as for showing sponsors on the side of the cars in which the teams need for future sponsorship opportunities.

1.2 mil. viewers is a huge plus also. The booth still needs some work but, It's only the 1st race.

The new Encyclospeedia is a nice addition to the show, One downer was not having cameras in the pits to show the fans on t.v. what goes on behind the scenes as to prepping for the next round.

Production needs a bit of work being that you could tell when the person in charge of putting up the r.t, e.t., and mph on the screen stepped out to take a leak because there were rounds where it wasn't on the screen.

Overall, I give it a much better rating v.s. last year's broadcasts. Chip away at it and they will have a near perfect show.

those are really good numbers, and i agree, the show seemed better than '16.....agree with what mark said about the pace; the amount of no-racing voids were/seemed less, IMO a huge plus.......nhra should do the winters every year the weekend after the super bowl......no nascar, no nfl, only going up against nhl, pga, and nba......3pm - 6pm cst time slot....almost perfect. they didn't need to follow a nascar race for this one.

I enjoy the fact that we get to see the action early in the day, not at 3:00am like with the previous network. Hope they keep up the good work>

Several things that I thought needed change:

The ET & MPH displays at the end of the run need to be a little more clear. Still difficult to read sometimes.
The sync of audio and video when the cars launched was way off. Way too amateurish. Thought I was watching a Japanese movie.
Do replays when they're needed, not just for filler. Such as the Hagen/centerline issue.
On the "crank it up" segment, do more than 10 secs. worth. The ESPN "sounds of the strip" was much better IMO.

I like the early stuff too. Wish they did Thursdays....
Sound it abominable/nonexistent. Way too amateurish.
Don't like tower shots of the ass end of cars .
Don't want to see announcers AT ALL.
Absolutely HATE the computer screen shots, I watch on a 55" and you still can't read it.
My last year if it doesn't get better FAST, especially with the positive comments about ESPN
C'mon NHRA Get your shit together!
P.S. What about that "App"?
