Points Races

After 2 races Capps and Allen Johnson have almost 100 point leads. It will take an epic collapse for them to not earn their first championships given the way they have been performing since mid year. Now TF is the one race that is tight and can go to anyone in the top 5. PSB might get interesting if the Hector's maintain the performance edge they had this weekend and they don't choke in the future. Can't wait for the next 2 races to see how the next phase of the Countdown plays out.

Come on brother 250pt lead would be epic. 100 with 4 to go is nothing. A first rd "L" coupled with a Win by 2nd or 3rd place man and this is a tight one. There is a lot of Nitro left to burn in FC.

Haaaaaaaaaaa! Good one, still a fan of the Countdown. I just don't remember a team getting this big of a lead this early.

I sure miss the days when winning a national event was a big deal in itself and the winner wasn't just a spoiler...sigh...

BTW did anybody in funny car get a clean win from the right line? I know BTIII got his wins in the right lane, but it seems like the only time the right lane won was if the left lane had a problem...I was just thinking it wasn't much of an "upset" when the better qualified Hagen, in the better lane, beat Force in the bad lane

Haaaaaaaaaaa! Good one, still a fan of the Countdown. I just don't remember a team getting this big of a lead this early.

Still wish they would fix it. I can live with it if they put 8 playoff cars on one side of the ladder, have them duke it out. THen leave the other 8 spots on the other side open for qualifying.

I still havent been able to finish a season with the countdown. I end up quit watching, if it wasn't for the pick the winners game I wouldn't even look up anything after Indy

REAL Drag Racing Fans are Tired of the Fabricated BS Called the Countdown with points reset and all the other horsepucky..... If it's a true playoff, then only the quickest eight the top ten teams should be racing each other... then have an open 8 car field for non-playoff cars... the winner of each bracket at each race then run off for the event title. Winternationals would be standard 1v16, ect....

The "Fourplay" event should be a non-point event. No Track, including POMONA, should host 2 National Events a year. Drop the test ban, if you can afford to test, then frecking test. Make Indy a Double Points Race.

While we're wishing for the old days, why not wish for 1/4 mile racing again. We all know it ain't ever gonna happen so were stuck with this made up drama. I live 40 miles from the Texas Motorplex and wont even go watch if somebody gave me tickets for free. 1000 ft. and countdown crap sucks.
