I saw a rendering on CompPlus of a Cadillac funny car with the name Phil Flower. Anyone know if this is a fuel car or alky car? Phil Flower I think this is a link to the photo

I'm sure Buzzz Miller will be along any minute to tell you that Phillip Flower has bought his 2001 STS Injected CIFCA Funny Car...

My best guess anyway

I would say that buy looking at that rendering, it is not a Fuel Funny. I'll mail a cookie to the first one that get's the clue right!:D

Definitely a cool looking car for sure!

I found this, courtesy of Google advanced search:

The Phillip Flower Racing 2001 Cadillac Seville
Funny Car boasts the following:
125" Hal Canode .065 wall, 10.1d, NHRA certified chassis
Strange top loader full floater rear end with 4.56 gears
Strange and Wilwood brake components
Brand new anodized Centerline 'Convo Pro' Wheels
Hoosier 23" fronts and 36" Goodyear top fuel 1230 tires
Mark Williams Enterprises couplers and drive shaft
Hairy Glass Carbon Fiber Body
Brand new Carbon/Kevlar profiled spillplates and wing assembly
With X-OTIC custom paints, pearls and color change powders
(x-otic are the engineers from House of Color that broke off recently.)

Not much to go on, but it can't be a NItro car with 4.56 gears.

Bill

How on earth are we supposed to keep things "hush hush" with you guys that can find anything. Philip purchased the car and is currently finishing the parts accumulation to run the car in Cifca for a while, then a step up in class. The car has been 6.0 at 233 with a roots- so it will take some power.
We have been planning paint and everything to look absolutely perfect. I would suspect the car to be on the track mid to end of summer. It should have been out sooner, and stepped up sooner, but cash is a bit slow.

Buzzz, with the Caddy sold, are you and your family bringing out a new car?

The newest funny-car is almost done.
The one dragster is done, the other just needs some time to complete it and paint it.
Then I will start bending tube for another new funny-car.
But I gotta get done with everyone elses junk at my shop so I can get some time to work on my stuff. I have two pro mods, a top sportsman deal and a K-boat to finish first. Awwwhh- my head hurts!

Buzzz, where you been hiding! It must be pretty tough to slow a 6.0 car to 7.50 isn't it?

Hi Kelly.... and Joe

I realise that I've been more than a little quiet over the past year or so. There's been very little from me on here and the MMS myspace hasn't really been updated either. Spent most of 2008 looking after my dad who sadly died in late August after battling with pancreatic cancer for 9 months, and then looking after mum who obviously needed a lot of support after 44 years of marriage and even longer with the "old man" as they were proper childhood sweethearts.

Although I did bits and pieces of design/marketing work last year for a few of my regular customers I really just couldn't run a viable business at the time with everything going on and really my earning potential was a big fat zero. The news last week that now Becky is at risk of being made redundant (read as "is being made redundant") has absolutely hammered the last nail in the coffin as she was always the major wage earner of the two of us anyway. So it looks like there's going to be no US racing trips for us for quite a while, in fact currently I'm more thinking of where the next loaf of bread comes from rather than the next British Airways flight! But somehow we'll work it out, even if that means selling the house and touring the world living on the profits for a couple of years! You never know it might be the final straw that makes us quit the UK and pushes us even more into trying to get a work visa sorted and find a job and finally move to Texas.

Hopefully Rick and Dawn Oldfield are coming to visit us this year which we're really looking forward to and with the exchange rate back in your favour at the moment it makes more sense at this time for visits in the UK direction and at least we'll get our "fix" of Texas even if its done right here at home. Plus its about time we paid back their hospitality for always looking after us so wonderfully when we're in the US.

Hope to be around and make my presence felt a little more here this year, as long as we can still afford an internet connection ;)
