After watching IHRA TC at Columbus with the exhibition nostalgia Pro Stocks don't see why this might not be a viable solution. Loved the Grumpy's Toy and Bob Glidden tribute cars.
You can buy repoduction bodies for 67-68 Mustang's, 67-69 Camaro's, 66-67 Chevy II Nova's, 70-74 Cuda's etc. Gm, Ford and Chrysler still sell crate engines.

I am going to say most people do not know that there was a company that specifically made taxi cabs called Checker. If they did not grow up in a major city mainly New York or Chicago there is a good chance they never seen or heard of them.

I think there's a bunch in Mexico, but I haven't been there since I was a kid.
I remember them well!

The issue would be picking an era and sticking with it. If you start mixing years/generations...you have clutch only Top Sportsman.

It wouldn't be easy, just throwing a hat in the ring. How many of us are sick of Camaro Stock? Nhra doesn't care if the stands empty out after nitro, they make lots of money on consessions and souvenirs. And of course Elite and KB wouldn't want to do something different either.

Haulin' the groceries!!!!!!!

He’s a local guy here in my area. It is a very aggressive leaver off the line. Quite a thing of beauty.
