Bad news .. but anyone familiar with InBev has seen this coming. It is what they do ..

This is exactly right. After the purchase of AB was announced, I did some research on Inbev. IF TRUE, it wouldn't surprise me at all. Not one bit. Companies like Inbev only make money by buying companies like AB, who have high overhead for whatever reason, slashing costs through draconian measures, then reselling the shell of what's left and paying back their stockholders with the proceeds.

It's known as capitalism.........

It's also what Cerberus had in mind when purchasing Chrysler. Only problem for them is there are no buyers for car manufacturers in this economy...now they're stuck with it. I realize it's capitalism but this just isn't right. Dismantling companies for the sake of a quick sale is morally wrong.

CompetitionPlus.com contacted Kenny Bernstein today, who denied there was any truth to such rumors. Sorry to squash the thread. There's nothing here folks, thank goodness.

I don't mean to be a dick, Bobby, but do you actually believe he's gonna' throw something like that down to you when nothing has been announced? Don't get me wrong, 'cause I hope like hell he's not singin', but I wouldn't count on it.

When AB was purchased one of the agreements was that the Busch family retained a seat on the board.
This rumor is false and you will see Brandon driving the Bud car for 2009.

The Monster deal would of gone away this year even if they had ran better as Monster/Red Bull have 70% of the market share in the US and they wanted to concentrate their efforts in other parts of the world.
Hansens soda owns Monster-AB owns the US distributing...

... and I agree with Sean D ... we have seen these denials turn out the other way many times ... I guess we will find out in a week or two at the preseason tests if a Bud car shows up or not, and I certainly hope Bernstein is still out there in the Bud King.

EDIT: On second thought, KB never once commented on all the rumors regarding Monster leaving ... yet he did comment on Bud ... maybe that is a good sign.

Well, if INBEV stays on, we should support Bud and their big stepsister, Stella Artois...

And of all the guys you DON'T want to be sitting in a sponsor's waiting lounge with, KB would be Number One on my list- the man knows how to pitch his product and has a sponsor track record that would be hard for ANYONE to match.
