Man, what can you say about that. Two great drivers and it sounds like C&J is very happy with Bob on the sponsorship side of things. I hope this team is ran well has great success in 2015 and beyond.
Heard something in the "wind" that these two cars will be racing under the DSR umbrella while still carrying the BVR/C&J livery. I heard it.......doesn't mean it is a fact.

Doesn't that put DSR over the 4 car limit for team owners?
Either way, this is very cool. It is going to be awesome to see Larry Dixon again in a full time ride and let's see if Connelly can be as good on the tree as in a pro stock.
BTW, I'm now rooting for Connelly to win the championship in PS.....
That's great news for Drag Racing, and really good to read that C&J are fully committed to the team. Yeah, it would be cool to see Connelly win the PS Championship now before walking away from the class.
This is definitely a gray area in the rulebook. I do remember a few years ago when Dickie went over to Tasca from Force to "help out", but the NHRA said it was a violation of the rules. If I recall correctly, in order for Dickie to continue working with Tasca he had to resign from JFR.
If being under the DSR umbrella is the plan, it will be interesting to see how the NHRA views it. The key would be, what does "being under the DSR umbrella" mean?
I'd be curious as well. Right now BV owns his own cars and equipment, has his own drivers and crewchiefs, and his own sponsors. I see Bob taking advantage of eliminating driving chores so he's freed up to continue to grow his program.
That's not the way I look at it. Just buying parts and sharing some data does not make them DSR cars. I think Zizzo and Dexter Tuttle get some of their stuff from DSR too.

I would agree with you if it were just buying parts, but sharing data is another story. However, based on the CompPlus teaser, it sounds as though it may just be parts.

"We are told from multiple sources; Bob Vandergriff Racing will begin purchasing equipment and technology from Don Schumacher Racing for the 2015 season. Additionally, we hear Vandergriff's team will be based "very close" to Schumacher's Brownsburg, Ind.-based headquarters.

They have already been based in Brownsburg for a few years now. They are a block from JFR, across the street from the Lucas oil race shop, and Kenny Bernsteins ex race shop, and next door to Rapisardas, and Frank Manzos race shops. DSR, is about 2 miles on the other side of the complex next to Vance and Hines, and across the street from Al-Anabi.
Getting back on point.....CONGRATS to both Connolly, and BV. As much as I love to see Dave race P/S, if this is what he wants, I'm
happy for him. Also if he takes to driving T/F like he does everything else,.......T/F is gonna be VERY interesting in 2015.
