am trying to read and re-read about this. it's pretty interesting, penske entertainment got this done.
not sure if this could ever apply to drag racing. somehow it seems like the nhra and/or it's owners could put something like this together.
there would be value to each team charter as teams move in and out of the sport.
IMO it would be hard to organize 32 charters. (16) owners with two car teams, or (8) owners with four car teams. who knows how it could work.
(16) car guaranteed fields at every race, with financial perks that would come from being a charter.
have 6 races per year for non-charter teams to come out and try to qualify. gainesville, norwalk, the new bandimere, indy, ennis, and vegas 2
Chip Gnassi racing will only field the max of 3 cars in the NTT series next year (they field 5 now), but will take 2 other teams to the NXT indy series.
i wonder if kaylynn and husband will stay on with CG racing in '25?
