Steve Kent’s Pistonator Pro Stock has a new look for NHRA’s Countdown (1 Viewer)

Steve Kent and his familiar Pistonator Pontiac will debut a new look for the upcoming O’Reilly Auto Parts Nationals at zMAX Dragway this weekend and then carry that look for the balance of NHRA’s 2011 Countdown to the Championship.

Kent’s Pro Stock ride will showcase the colors of longtime associate sponsor Charter Communications for the balance of the season and it will be the second time for the communications giant to be featured on the teams Pro Stock ride.

Steve Kent Racing and Charter Communications first hit the track together in 2009 in Atlanta when the team joined forces with Cagnazzi Racing Engines to supply their power. The team carried the Charter Communication colors for the balance of the 2009 season with Rodger Brogdon at the wheel and finished 13th in the standings in their first full year of Pro Stock competition.

Team owner Kent made his first appearance in NHRA’s highly competitive Pro Stock category earlier this year in Houston, TX where he qualified in his debut. Business commitments have limited the number of races that Steve has been able to attend since then, but with a cleared slate the multi-faceted businessman from Louisiana plans on competing in the remaining six events of the 2011 season with Charter Communications as primary sponsor and the EDGE Pain and Performance chips, Lucas Oil, Kent Services and Trucking, and Microholdingsus.com as associate sponsors on the teams Pontiac GXP.

“Charter Communications was on the car when Rodger scored his first round wins and I’m looking forward to the same success,” stated Kent. “Everyone at Charter has been highly supportive of our racing efforts and now we’re going to give them all the support we can on track with our new look for the rest of the season.”

Charter Communications, Inc. (Get TV, Internet and Phone - Charter Communications) is a Fortune 500 company and the fourth-largest cable operator in the United States. Charter provides advanced video, high-speed Internet, and telephone services to approximately 5.2 million residential and business customers in 25 states.
